Destinations : Mumbai – Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Pondichery – Tanjore – Madurai – Munnar – Periyar – Allepy - Poovar/Kovalam – Cochin

Day 01 : Arrival – Mumbai
Gateway of India, MumbaiPick up at Mumbai Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Day 02 : Mumbai
After Breakfast full day sight seeing in Mumbai and Overnight stay.
Day 03 : Mumbai
After Breakfast full day sight seeing in Mumbai and Overnight stay.
Day 04 : Mumbai – Chennai
Arrive Mumbai in the morning. Pickup and transfer to domestic airport for connecting flight to Chennai after having breakfast in Mumbai. Arrive Chennai. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon S/seeing which includes Mylapore Shiva Temple, Santhome Cathedral, Visit National Art Gallery and Museum (closed on Fridays) which has a selection of ancient paintings of almost all schools as well as section devoted to modern art, Mareena Beach . O/N stay at hotel in Chennai.
Day 05 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram
After breakfast drive to Kancheepuram( 76 km-2hrs)-"The City of thousand temples". Visit Ekambaranath Temple, Kailasnath Temple etc. Kanchipuram is famous for its hand - woven cottons and kanjivaram silk (exquisite silk sarees). Visit the handloom and shop if you please.
After sight seeing proceed to Mahabalipuram ( 64km-1.30 hrs). On arrival check in to hotel. Visit the only surviving shore temples. It boasts of some of India's most sublime rock cut art comprising of Arjuna's Penance - the largest open-air bass-relief, Five Rathas, structured temples, man-made caves and chariots. Visit Crocodile farm. O/N stay in Mahabalipuram.
Day 06 : Mahabalipuram – Pondichery

PondicherryAfter a relaxing breakfast we will travel to the nearby cultural village at Dakshinachitra. Drive to Pondichery( 100km-2.30 hrs). On arrival check in to hotel. Visit Aurbindo Ashram, Matri Mandir and Auroville. Evening Relax at the beach, which runs along the city. 
Pondicherry, once a French settlement and now home to the Aurobindo Ashram - It spiritual tenets represent a synthesis of yoga and modern science and Auroville or the City of Dawn, an international settlement where community living is the focus of life. The sphere shaped Matri Mandir a hall of meditation is the splendid centre of Auroville. O/N stay in Pondicherry.
Day 07 : Pondichery – Tanjore
After breakfast drive to Tanjore (172 km 4.30 hrs) .On arrival check in to hotel. Tanjore is rich in its architecture, exquisite handicrafts, paintings, bronzes and South Indian Musical instruments. Visit the magnificent Brahadeeswara temple(a World Heritage Monument), where the shade of the tower (gopuram or vimanam) will not fall on the ground. The second largest monolithic sculpture, Nandi (Bull) can be found in the portal of the shrine. The Royal palace complex houses in important library and museums, including a superb collection of Chola bronzes. O/N stay in Tanjore.
Day 08 : Tanjore – Madurai
After breakfast drive to Madurai (170 km 5 hrs). Enroute visit The Rock Fort Temple with 437 stone cut steps to the top for panoramic views is surrounded by a bustling local bazaar in Trichy. On arrival check in to hotel.
Madurai, known for 1000-pillared Meenakshiamman temple. Visit Meenakshi temple, famous for its Court of Thousand Pillars, built in 1560 A.D and Thirumalai Nayak's Palace. After dinner visit to the temple to witness the famous night ceremony when the Temple bronze of Lord Siva is carried to the bed chamber of Goddess Parvati to the accompaniment of religious prayers and music. O/N stay in Madurai.
Day 09 : Madurai – Munnar
MunnarAfter Breakfast check out hotel and drive towards Munnar(162 km 6 hrs). On arrival check in to hotel.
Munnar is a small & a very beautiful hill station. Munnar was the favorite summer capital of the south during the British period. Munnar is breathtaking beautiful hill station in South India & also a centre of kerala premier tea growing town. Visitors can have a panoramic view of the verdant surroundings, flying clouds, mist filled valleys & forested hills from Munnar. Free to explore the town/market. O/N stay in Munnar.
Day 10 : Munnar
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing which includes Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Thar(mountain goats), the Raja Malai - a top peak of Munnar, Muttupetty dam, Indo Swiss project, you can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional),echo-point, Old Munnar Town. Evening free for own activities. O/N stay in Munnar.
Day 11 : Munnar - Periyar(Thekkedy)
After breakfast drive to Thekkady( 125 kms-4.30 hrs) and check in to hotel. The drive to Thekkady itself is enchanting as the road winds through Tranquil countryside, rich plantations and thick jungles. A wild life reserve hence is an ideal place to track down wild life such as Elephants, Bisons, Deers and numerous other varieties of birds. The landscape here is with very tropical and you will be surrounded by tea, coffee & other spices.
Afternoon Spice Garden plantation Tour like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea estates etc. On your way back to the hotel, you can stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Late afternoon boat ride on the lake. This is the best time to have the possibility of seeing some of the many animals, including herds of elephants, Bisons, Antelopes, Sambar Deers, wild Boars, Languar Monkeys, A variety of Birds and around 40 Tigers. which come down to the water's edge to drink. O/N stay in Thekkedy. 
Day 12 : Periyar – Alleppy (House Boat)
Periyar Lake, PeriyarAfter breakfast drive to Aleppey (150 km- 5 hrs) and check in to A/C Houseboat. Alleppey (Alappuzha) - is the heart of backwaters and it is naturally known for its snake boat racing events. Enjoy the great backwaters of kerala. You will have lunch, dinner and breakfast in the Houseboat. O/N stay in houseboat.
The backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. You can sun bath on the deck or observe the landscape from the protection of the cabin. The population's whole life takes place here on the water. The people sail, fish, swim and bath here. They do their washing and their washing up. They are so adapted to the water that you can see people talking for an hour, while they are up to their necks in water. Canoes with huge sails still transport people and you can find vegetable sellers, fisherman and other household materials being brought door to door by small wooden boats. This whole area is surrounded with coconut palms and, lush gold Rice fields. The major cropping here is of coconut and it is said that the name for this place KERALA was from the old name of coconut as KERA.
Day 13 : House Boat – Poovar/Kovalam
After breakfast Disembark from Houseboat and drive Poovar beach(200kms-4.30 hrs). which is rich with palm trees. The journey through the tropical landscape of Kerala gives a good idea of people living in here. Poovar/Kovalam beach is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in India. Arrive and explore Kovalam beach. Proceed to Poovar. On arrival check in to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. O/N stay in Poovar beach resort. 
Day 14 : Poovar/Kovalam
After breakfast free for own activities(Relax on the beach, Massage etc.). Afternoon proceed to Trivendrum for local sightseeing which includes Padmanabha Swami temple, Sree Chithra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and market. O/N stay in Poovar beach resort.
Day 15 : Poovar – Cochin
Fishing Net, CochinAfter breakfast drive to Cochin (225km -5 hrs). On arrival check in to hotel. Later proceed for the Boat Cruise To See The 7 Islands Of Kochi & Beautiful Sun Set At Chinese Fishing Nets. Spend some time around the city market. O/N stay in cochin.
Day 16 : Cochin
After breakfast Sight seeing tour of Cochin visiting -The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana, The Jewish Synagogue (oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth,Open 10.00 – 12.00 hrs and 15.00 – 17.00 hrs- closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays) Constructed in 1568 at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town, Walk through the busy spice markets in the Jewtown area. The Dutch rebuilt it in 1664. The St. Francis Church, the oldest European Church in India, The Santa Cruz Basilica originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese and the Chinese fishing nets are huge cantilevered fishing nets believed to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders.
In the evening visit the famous dance drama of Kerala, the "Kathakali". This dance can be characterized by grotesque gesticulations, amazing costumes and very extensive make-up. The stories are mostly taken from the epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. O/N stay in cochin.
Day 17 : Cochin – Departure
This day you are free for individual activities till we drop you to the Airport to proceed your onwards journey.
